Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving new business for Follett Software by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers across K–12 education systems. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys outbound engagement, relationship building, and contributing to a mission-driven organization.
As an SDR, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers—setting the tone for long-term partnerships and fueling the company’s growth through high-quality pipeline generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and engage potential customers through calls, emails, and targeted outreach
- Execute short- and long-term sales strategies within assigned territories
- Qualify leads and identify opportunities aligned with Follett’s solutions
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns and outreach initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in CRM systems
- Support sales initiatives by participating in events, webinars, and trade shows
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in K–12 organizations
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a related role
- Experience working with K–12, education technology, or SaaS solutions preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tools
