The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for generating pipeline for Five9’s Small/Mid-Market and Enterprise Sales teams across the UK & Ireland (UK&I) region.
You’ll be on the front lines of outbound prospecting—introducing Five9 to potential customers, qualifying opportunities, and setting the foundation for long-term revenue growth. Strong performance in this role opens doors to career advancement across sales and the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify outbound leads from marketing in the UK&I region and convert them into sales opportunities
- Consistently meet or exceed quota for qualified opportunities passed to field sales
- Proactively manage and disposition all assigned leads
- Qualify prospects using BANT-style criteria (budget, authority, need, timing) and capture key sales insights
- Build relationships with potential customers by understanding their business environment and anticipating needs
- Clearly communicate Five9’s value proposition via phone and email
- Log all activities and prospect information accurately in Salesforce.com
- Provide targeted feedback on sales tools, prospect quality, and marketing campaign performance
- Collaborate closely with sales, channel, and marketing teams to improve demand generation processes and best practices
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in a lead generation or business development environment
- Strong cold calling and outbound communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and standard office software
- Proven track record of achieving quotas and performance targets
- Ability to handle objections and educate prospects using a consultative sales approach
- Demonstrated curiosity, motivation, initiative, and resourcefulness
- Professional business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team orientation with openness to new ideas and feedback
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

- Experience selling enterprise SaaS or technology solutions
